Ways We Can Work Together

I offer trauma, betrayal trauma, and sexual addiction counseling in a few different formats. Sessions are available in person at The Finding Place Counseling in Little Rock, Arkansas; virtually throughout Arkansas and Nevada, including Las Vegas; and through custom intensives for clients who want deeper, more concentrated work in a shorter timeframe.

In Person

For clients in the Little Rock area, I recommend in-person sessions at The Finding Place Counseling. There is real value in sitting in the room together.

Virtual

For clients throughout Arkansas and Nevada who aren't local to Little Rock, I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions; so location is never a barrier to getting the support you need.

Custom Intensive

For clients wanting more focused time than a weekly session allows, whether local or traveling from out of state; I offer custom intensives ranging from a half day to three days, customized to your specific goals.

Therapy Approach and Modalities

No single approach works for everyone. I draw on specialized, evidence-based methods including EMDR, Brainspotting, and certified frameworks for sexual addiction and betrayal trauma; tailored to your specific needs and story.

EMDR

Trauma doesn't always stay in the past. It can resurface as flashbacks, panic, or a body that reacts as if danger is still present. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps your brain finish processing what got "stuck," working directly with how the memory is stored so relief happens without having to relive the trauma in full. It's a structured, research-backed approach and a powerful tool for trauma.

Brainspotting

Not everything that affects us can be put into words. Some pain lives below conscious awareness, held in the body and nervous system rather than in memory alone. Brainspotting is a body-based approach that uses specific eye positions to access those deeper places, often reaching what talk therapy alone can't. This approach is especially helpful when trauma feels hard to name, or when you know something is affecting you but can't quite explain why.

Sexual Addiction Recovery

As a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT), I use a structured, evidence-based framework to help you understand and address compulsive sexual behavior without shame or judgment. This work often includes a thorough clinical assessment to identify what's driving the behavior, along with education about the addiction cycle. From there, we build a personalized recovery plan that addresses both the behavior itself and what's fueling it. The goal isn't just stopping a behavior; it's understanding the pain it's covering and building a foundation for lasting change.

Betrayal Trauma

Discovering a partner's infidelity, sexual addiction, or hidden double life is its own trauma. It can leave you questioning your judgment, your memory, and the safety and trust you once felt in the relationship. Using a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) framework, I help you process the shock, validate what you're experiencing (this isn't "overreacting," it's a trauma response), and move toward clarity about what you need; whether that's healing within the relationship or moving forward separately. You deserve support that's specifically trained in betrayal trauma.

What Is An Intensive?

If you've felt like an hour a week isn't enough to get to what really matters, an intensive may be the format you've been looking for. A therapy intensive is a customizable, extended session for those who want more than the traditional weekly hour allows. Rather than spreading the work across months of 50-minute sessions, an intensive gives us dedicated, uninterrupted time to go deeper into the healing process, anywhere from a half day to three full days. This approach works especially well for clients navigating a specific crisis or breakthrough moment, or anyone who feels that traditional hourly therapy doesn't fit their pace or the depth of work needed. Every intensive is built around your specific goals, so the format and timeline actually serve your healing. This can be especially valuable in the immediate aftermath of a betrayal discovery, when focused, concentrated support is often needed right away.

Whatever brought you here, healing is possible; and the right approach can make all the difference.
